I’m going to show you guys how to get Avira AntiVirus 10 Free without the pesky advertisements that normally pop up by default.
Step 1 – Download Avira 10
First, download the latest version of Avira AntiVirus to continue.
Step 2 – Download NoNotifyAvira
While thats downloading, download No Notify Avira here.
Step 3 – Install Avira 10
Install Avira AntiVir Personal 10. If you don’t have an antivirus installed yet, install a fresh and complete version. If you have a previous version of Avira AntiVirus, select option 2 which is an upgrade option.
Step 4 – Restart computer
Step 5 – Disable AntiVir Guard
Disable Avguard by right clicking on Avira icon in system tray and unchecking “AntiVir Guard Enabled”
Step 6 – Patch Avira 10
Open Aviranonotify.exe, select your Avira version (thats Avira AntiVir Personal 10) and your Windows version (to check for your system type, right click Computer in the start menu or My Computer on your desktop and go to Properties). It’s either 32-bit or 64-bit. Click OK and close.
Step 7 – Renable AntiVir Guard
Reenable Avguard. Done!
Now you have a very good free anti-virus without the worst part of free software… POPUPS!!
